I have many, many things that I’d like to accomplish, some of which are necessary (dishes, figuring out what to pack for conference and then packing it) and some less so (mopping floors, vacuuming stairs). This past weekend I accomplished the Great Closet Reorganization of 2011, as well as reorganized the Nook of Ideas, so those were two major tasks completed. I’d had this vision of accomplishing Every Cleaning Thing in the World, but well, I’m just not a person who can be that efficient when it comes to cleaning. So.
I’m excited for my trip this weekend, but, well, as you know, the lead-up to any trip is stressful. Once I’m there it will be grand, but at the moment I am feeling a little AAAARRRGGGHHH about getting everything done prior to going. At any rate, expect radio silence between now and next week.

You have a Nook of Ideas? That’s so awesome.
Ah, indeed. It’s this strange little half-room off of the front bedroom – perfect size for an office, particularly for somebody like me who rarely actually does work in an office, but does need someplace to put files, books for current projects, the printer, etc. It’s not quite a room because there is a ledge where the ceiling of the stairs jut, so, yes, it’s more a nook than a room. That said, it’s actually pretty big, and gets lovely light from two big windows.
What’s really funny is that even if I’m just going away for a few days, I want EVERYTHING to be done. Even if it hadn’t been done for months…. I’m always a nutcase before a trip.

I wanted to paste the “clean all the things” picture from this post but the computer won’t do it. So follow the link and imagine that picture as a response to your post.
